I support a different team in every country and geographical location in the world. This is so that I can watch a game wherever I May travel. I don't get to watch too many games due to shift work but I have dreams of long meandering road trips watching football and collecting shirts along the way.
In England I support Arsenal and Canvey Island FC. I also have a soft spot for my dads team, Leyton Orient. In Scotland it's Inverness Caledonian Thistle, in Wales it's Betws Y Coed, in Ireland its Limerick and Gweedore Celtic. If you're like me and support many international teams too and want to know more, get in touch.
First game I ever went to was Southend United Vs Stoke City. It was a 0-0 bore draw and put me off going to live games for a good few years afterwards.
Canvey Island Vs Metropolitan Police a few years back. At 80 minutes it was 1-4 and in the last 10 minutes Canvey came alive to finish 4-4
The Southend game above. My first time in a stadium, in the cold, watching a 0-0 draw, no commentary like I was used to on the TV, and some idiots in front who only turned up to abuse the ref and players.
My first international ground. It looks so majestic as you drive into Curepipe. It's such a shame that so few Mauritians follow their local teams in favour of watching the British premiership on TV. £1 to get in to the top flight game
Non league is non league, it is what it is. I think I've chosen this one as there were more people on the pitch than in the crowd so it was lacking in atmosphere.
