Stockport County have revealed plans to redevelop Edgeley Park into a 20,000 capacity stadium.
The League Two club have started the first phase of a public consultation programme after agreeing a new 250-year lease for the ground earlier this year.
The plans include totally rebuilding the East and South stands to provide modern facilities and bring the roofline level with the existing West stand. The final phase would be to extend the North stand to cover the full length of the pitch.
The plans are part of County's desire to be playing Championship football within the next 7 years.
The club aim to apply for planning permission by the end of the year, with work on the East stand potentially starting as early as next summer.
