Greek giants Panathinaikos have revealed their plans to build a new 40,000 capacity stadium in Athens.
The new £150m project also includes homes for Panathinaikos' other sports teams, including a 12,500 seat basketball arena, 1,500 seat volleyball arena and an Olympic size swimming pool.
The Greek Super League side will spend £65m on the football stadium, which they hope to start construction on in late 2021. The stadium is expected to take around 2 and a half years to build, meaning they could move in for the start of the 2024/2025 season. As well as being Panathinaikos' home, the stadium could also host some matches for the Greek national team.
Panathinaikos currently play their games at the Athens Olympic Stadium which they co-inhabit with rivals AEK Athens.
Once complete, the new stadium will just make it onto our list of the biggest football stadiums in Europe and will be included on the next version of the European Football Stadium poster.
