Barcelona have revealed that they expect to lose up to €100m in matchday revenue when they move to the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys next season.
The move comes as Barca look to expand the Camp Nou to 105,000 capacity, but will need to play the 2023/24 season away from their home ground whilst the construction work takes place.
The club have started working on modernising the Lluis Companys, but attendances will be significantly down next year as the stadium only holds 55,000.
Barca are also having to pay to upgrade several areas around the stadium including for better public transportation routes and lighting.

Barcelona are set to play the 2023/2024 season at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys as renovation work at the Camp Nou steps up.
The La Liga giants have announced the move as part of the plans to modernise the Camp Nou and increase its capacity of 105,000 - further cementing its place as the largest stadium in Europe.
Work is due to start next season, with changes being made to the first and second tiers. The stadium will remain at full capacity whilst the work is carried out. Barca will then move into the Lluis Companys as construction moves to the third tier. The club then intend to return to the Nou Camp for the 2024/2025 season, with the capacity cut by around 50%.
Work should be completed during the 2025/2026 season, with the capacity increased to 105,000.
The Lluis Companys is a 60,000 seater capacity stadium, which was first built for the 1992 Olympics. It is located around 2 miles away from the Nou Camp.

FC Barcelona have announced modified plans to upgrade the Camp Nou. The new plans will see a striking new 360 degree screen at the top of the new roof, similar to the one found in Atlanta United's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The La Liga outfit have also confirmed that most of the work will be confined to the third tier, with plans to temporarily move 12,500 lower tier season ticket holders now shelved.
The modified plans will still see the capacity rise to 105,000 - cementing the Camp Nou's place as the largest football stadium in Europe.
Work on the €1.5bn project is due to get underway in summer 2022.

FC Barcelona have officially opened the new Estadi Johan Cruyff a couple of miles west of the Nou Camp.
The new stadium is a replacement for the old Mini Estadi and will be the home of Barcelona’s B and women’s teams as well as big games for the Under 19s side.
The first match at the new stadium was a friendly between Barcelona and Ajax’s youth teams - a fitting link to the legend whom the stadium is named after.
The new ground has a 6,000 capacity and means that the old Mini Estadi football stadium will be demolished to make way for a new venue for indoor sports including basketball, handball, roller hockey and futsal.
The video below shows the stadium in some detail:
