I lived there,
Pity though, as well as the ground there was a swimming Lido that got scrapped too and the starlight rooms were also lost where old school footballers used to entertain the masses. I went to Kingsmead school directly next to the ground, they used to give us free tickets to a few home games,

I miss those days
