I don't hold with the argument for all seater stadia. Surely, you can have safe capacities for standing areas. It's no problem in the Blue Square North. Just issue tickets like you do for seating. Bring back the real atmosphere.
Coventry City 3 Peterborough United 2, Div 3, Nov. 1963.
Coventry City 3 Wolverhampton Wanderers 1, April 1967. Saw Sky Blues all but mathematically promoted to the top flight for the fist time in their history. Att; 51455 ( and the rest that climbed over the gates). Not bad when you are nine.
Coventry City 1 Luton Town 0. Championship 2007/08. Kevin Kyle's headed goal was all I could remember of the game by the time I had left my seat. That and the cold , dark night. I should have stayed at home and watched Eastenders.
Seeing as for some reason I could not select the Nou Camp or even the Munich Olympic Stadium there is only one candidate. Old Wembley was best because the corporates were hidden away.
The terracing on the away end gave way to a grassy bank. Stones on the terracing. It was one of those grounds that were awful at the time but now I want back.
