"About to enter unchartered territory"

has rated The Pirelli Stadium 3.0 out of 5.

wonderwasp's review of The Pirelli Stadium

I imagine that when the Brewers built their new home their ambition was to get into the League. The ground was certainly good enough, and large enough, for that, but now they are in the second tier there'll be a lot of disappointed fans this season unable to get inside. Wolves, Derby, Forest, Villa and Birmingham could all probably fill the stadium up with their own supporters. The team have been so successful on the pitch that they have actually already outgrown their own ground!

Location

It's well away from the Trent so there shouldn't be any flooding to worry about. The ground is on an industrial estate but it is at least very easy to find from the direction of Derby and, besides, is only a free kick away from the old stadium at Eton Park. It isn't handy for the station or town centre but with the best will in the world Burton's centre isn't very memorable anyway.

View

No problem at all. A decent away end (for Fourth Division visitors at least), nice compact stands at each side and a popular home terrace behind the goal.

Facilities

It's all a bit breeze block and basic but who cares? It's what the club has achieved on the field that has made the stadium a place that thousands will now be wanting to visit.

Food & Drink

No better or worse than most small grounds.

Police & Stewards

On my 3 visits I have found BAFC to be a very friendly and hospitable club.

Atmosphere

Brewers fans make a decent amount of noise but I guess that for the next 9 months most of the racket will be provided by the big city supporters who come along for their first visit.
