wonderwasp has rated The Darlington Arena 2.5 out of 5.
Way too large for a club the size of Darlo and a replacement for the fans' beloved Feethams. The cost surely had much to do with the eventual death of the original Darlington FC.
Too far out of town. Very handy if you were driving and had no desire to see the town at all but too far to walk for most folk and the car park was a money trap.
No problem there. The stadium would have been fine for Middlesbrough; it was just utterly wasted in the lower division/non-league environment.
Nice. The fencing off of half the concourse meant that vast spaces were simply left redundant, though.
There was a decent bar at the ground. Probably still is for all I know.
Can't honestly remember.
Awful. A crowd of 2500 in such a huge stadium meant that when the match kicked off you were still expecting at least another 10,000 to turn up. It had all the atmosphere of a reserve match. Add the fact that Darlo were on their way to a humiliating exit from the League and it was just about the saddest ground I've ever been to.
