It's pointless to criticise Accrington Stanley for the state of their stadium because the fact that they have a team and a ground at all is a tribute to everyone involved in bringing the club back from oblivion. It's a non-league ground but what can we expect from the club with the smallest fan base in the League?
Not easy to find. Peel Park would have been much easier!
View is fine. Comfort? That's a different matter altogether.
Basic. In a way Stanley's ground is very much what Fourth Division fans used to go to in the 1970s but I prefer it to those instant off-the-shelf stadia that have sprung up elsewhere.
There's a chip bar and the chips are no disgrace.
Nicest welcome in the League, in my experience.
For away fans it's awful. Stand in the cold and watch your team lose on a bumpy pitch. The atmosphere comes from the Ultras on the home end. They love their club and their team, don't expect the world and keep on cheering till the final whistle when, more often than not, they can celebrate another triumph. There's nowhere else in the League quite the same.
