"A sleepy summer afternoon"

has rated Fredriksskans 2.0 out of 5.

wonderwasp's review of Fredriksskans

Fredriksskans was (and probably still is) a disappointing ground because of the track running around it. It had a decent main stand and the terrace opposite was decent enough but both ends were bare, which is never good. I'm not surprised that KFF have given it up and moved elsewhere.

Location

Just North of the main drag and no trouble to get to.

View

Good from the stand.

Facilities

All neat and tidy.

Food & Drink

Not tried.

Police & Stewards

No police officers to be seen. The stewards, like the turnstile operators, programme sellers and fans, were all very Scandinavian and laid back.

Atmosphere

I like to be left in peace at a match but this was taking things too far. The fans (and the game itself) were, I'm sorry to say, boring. Not in a drunken, aggressive, shouty English fashion but in a sleepy and apparently uninterested Swedish one. This was an Allsvenskan top division match for goodness sake. Kalmar FF v IF Elsborg. At least the Elfsborg supporters sang "You'll never walk alone" a couple of times but as for KFF, wake up there!
