"Atmosphere MUCH better than its made out to be."

It's not the same as the boleyn, but it's still good in its own ways. The stadium looks very impressive, and I have to say the noise can be really loud once the crowd get going. The shape of the stadium makes the noise bounce off at several angles, amplifying the chants to make it sound very impressive indeed. When the whole stadium songs it can be deafening. Unfortunately when it's quiet, because it's so big it seems VERY quiet. Food is expensive, view is good if not a bit far away if you are at the back, football is a mixed bag. But I cn imagine the atmosphere rating improving as the team and fans settle in.

Location

While the area is magnificent due to the Olympics, getting to the actual stadium,and the time it takes to get away, are a huge pain as it's a good walk from Stratford station with no parking. Crowd control when leaving the area is a real pain but understandable.

View

In the front row it's pretty good! However I have also been near the back and it's really quite far away. View is still good though. Therefore 3 stars.

Facilities

The facilities are generally quite good. Toilet turnaround is swift. Everything is quite new.

Food & Drink

Food and drink is tasty but overpriced. Food on the stalls outside is very tasty but even more overproced!

Police & Stewards

Terrible. They seem to have an "us v them" attitude and they don't seem to have a grasp of how football crowds behave. They can be qiite rude and standoffish. At times it feels like some kind of totalitarian regime. Not cool, needs to be sorted!

Unfortunately when it's quiet, because it's so big it seems to turn into a cavernous bowl void of anything at all. But I believe with time this overall rating will improve as the places starts to feel more and more like home. But do not believe the hype, the fans really can make alot of noise when they fancy it!
