"Good modern stadium let down by road network!"

has rated Pride Park 2.5 out of 5.

A nice modern stadium but let down by a lack of care and attention in provided some of the extra touches seen at many other stadiums.

Traffic congestion was real issue and I would not drive to Pride Park again!

Location

Away supporters are directed to a trading estate car park, costing £5.00. This seemed fairly secure and had the added bonus of only being a 5 minute walk to the ground.

Attempting to get away by car after the game was virtually impossible & very dissapointing that there were no reasonable road networks to cope with the amount of fans trying to leave the area; shocking for a purpose-built stadium. The Police didn't want to get involved either, choosing to watch the stationary traffic block islands etc, rather than help the situation.

It took over an hour to get 3-miles so a word of warning, if you trave to Pride Park go on a coach or get the train!

View

The view of the pitch is excellent and Derby offer a good allocation of tickets for away fans. Not the most comfortable seats!

Facilities

One dissapointing aspect is that there is no large screen in the Stadium to show live action or replays etc. Also no screens available to fans in the surrounding concorse, so no idea of scores from early games, match action or Sky Sports News! Very poor that there is no modern media source available to the speactators.

The access to & from the upper tier is very poor when there is a large away following and all the seats allocated have been sold. It took 20 minutes to get from the upper tier to the stairs to exit from the stand so I hate to think what would happen in an emergency!

Food & Drink

Long queues and slow service - so much for a modern stadium!

Police & Stewards

Always found the Police at the old Baseball Ground very aggresive and confrontational but at Pride Park they kept a low profile. They should help with traffic duties after the game rather than stand there watching! Stewards were friendly, helpful & carried out their duties with the minimum of fuss.

Atmosphere

There was a lack of atmosphere from the home team, maybe this was due to their recent inconsistant form?
