First Class Stadium soon to be a League One ground. atmosphere a bit poor decent supporters this will be out of place next season when clubs with tiny away followings attend. A precursor to this was the 100 or so Burton fans sat up the top tier being outnumbered by stewards.
Sunderlands a long way so you'll be glad to know it's a short walk from the Main station, even less from the Metro stations and even has a direct service to Newcastle Airport.
Sunderland for a city is very basic with plenty of matchday services on route to ground, but very little if you are staying the night. Best off staying in Newcastle for a good night after.
Good but not sure if the top tiers have lifts or escalators so if you're away supporter you may need to embark on a big climb.
Sunderland has a large following in terms of supporters being extremely overweight if attendances are high comfort may become restricted, but until (IF) they get back into the Premier League or draw a big club in a cup you should have plenty of room.
Toilets weren't as numerous as I'd expect for a large modern ground, but were clean enough at full time.
Loads of cheap vans around and a Cup of Tea made for you at the kiosks so no faffing around looking for milk etc.
Good loads of Police far more than what the way team brought in fans.
Average, couldn't see the away fans let alone hear them.
