trebor has rated The EnviroVent Stadium 3.0 out of 5.
A small stadium that's been renovated to league standard, It felt as if the staff and off field departments are struggling to keep pace with the on field progression. Plenty of terracing not much seating and when crowds are larger than expected flat standing in corners.
1 mile from Harrogate station which is next to the Bus Station that's got a number of services that pass the stadium A large park is in-between and would be a pleasant walk in good weather. Harrogate is a smart town with lots of Tea Shops.
I stood in the back of the side terrace which is new, it's properly covered for shelter but it's hard to see left side corner towards the away end. It was busy so you'll need to get in early for a good spot. Many had to leave to stand in the corners
Located behind home terrace look modern but as I'd not used them so I couldn't tell if they coped with the clubs record league crowd.
One kiosk for two thirds of the ground and right next to the only turnstile entrance for theses areas mea Tea was below expectations due to this being the town of Harrogate's speciality. Awkward place to pick forks, stirrers and lids to sort your food and drink out especially with a polystyrene, gravy filled tray in one hand.
2,000 above usual attendance and while the away side weren't local this caught the club out. I think the season is going to be a big learning curve and will need to be figured out soon if the team climbs the league table and meets bigger clubs. Even from my position I could see who threw the flares from the away end but Stewards in the vicinity did not.
Busier than usual as the top two divisions were off and Harrogate are playing well, so a bit noiser. A 6-1 win will have certainly encouraged some of the 2,000 new spectators to come back. Home drummer was not allowed to bring his drum kit in possibly a good thing.
