trebor has rated London Road 3.5 out of 5.
One old traditional Main Stand, a terrace from a similar era, a fifteen year old two tier large stand that dominates the stadium and a brand new stand from the mid 2010 gives the ground a unique feeling and looks smart and traditional. Unusually there isn't a barrier between the pitch and front rows of the Norwich & Peterborough stands and you have to walk alongside the pitch to get to the front seats.
I thought it was in an interesting location where you could easily include visits to Peterborough's other attractions such as the Cathedral and heritage Railway Line and a museum which were within an easy walk or could be done on the way to the ground.
Peterborough is very well served station on many lines and should be easily reached from most areas of the Country
There was a Bus stop outside the Railway Station but I couldn\'t work out if they were heading to the Bus Station or the Stadium so I walked.
Turn right outside Train Station, you may spot the tall floodlights. Walk alongside the Transport Police office and towards the large multi story car park, you can follow the signs to the stadium you may exit at a side street and head down this you can turn right off it anytime or head to the pedestrianised street. Turn right cross the road and then walk over the river head along London Road. You will need to head to walk around the left hand side of the ground to enter the Motorpoint stand and away end.
There is a Bar/Restaurant on a Barge by the Bridge, a Pub further along and a few shops and takeaways next to the Stadium. also they have a merchandise stall outside so you don't need to queue in a shop.
I gather most had parked in the two very large multi storey car parks by the train station so I guess the walk would be similar. Roads were very busy most of the day.
View was ok but as I was in Row A of the Motorpoint Stand I didn't have a great view of the other end.
The seats were very basic for a brand new stand with legroom not great.
The main issue was the idea to unnecessarily turn the sprinklers on before kick-off that soaked the almost all the first 10 rows.
Plenty of toilets lots of sinks and bright.
£2.20 for a tea is a bit steep and there weren't any clean surfaces to do the tea bag, milk part.
I recommend the Kebab Shop on London Road for food.
Warned us about flying footballs but not sprinklers. Peterborough tend to have a lot more Police following them than most even if they are among the most unthreatening, placid supporters I have met.
Swindon & Peterborough have been some of most enthusiastic supporters of the generic \'\'Everywhere we go\'\' rubbish, so I was expecting the worst but thankfully it was few and far between.
The home drummer did a bit.
