"Chocolate Logs"

has rated Holyhead Road 2.5 out of 5.

trebor's review of Holyhead Road

The ground looks to be in development to meet tier 2 Cymru North as of the time it hasn't got floodlights or much cover. One small stand which lets in rain at the ends, hard standing behind goal and open grass standing the rest.

Location

Short walk from station along Station Road with Chirk town centre on right and ground within playing fields on left. Aqueduct and canal a short walk from station, buses serving Wrexham stop by ground.
If winds in right direction you may get a whiff of chocolate or woodchips resin.

View

Small new stand behind one end off the centre of pitch that lets in rain at ends and has large pillar in way.

Facilities

Large clubhouse housing toilets clean and tidy.

Food & Drink

Large burgers, tea at ground in paper cups, clubhouse serving draft beer at decent price.

Police & Stewards

Voluntary who kept game on in very wet conditions.

Atmosphere

Decent away following despite weather most home fan stayed in clubhouse.
