Bus stop right outside station then take Bus to Robin Park pub. The ground is the one with white bars on the roof.
On the way back walk down the pedestrian walkway towards ASDA and wait for a Bus, for some reason very few fans were catching it and the road was not too busy I was back on the Train Station by 17:15.
Decent enough ground and great value for a recently relegated EPL club who play good football. It must be one of the cheapest of the whole 92. I got a seat next to the corporate/executive areas for 15 in the Springfield stand.
Tip: get a seat towards the back and you will see some players in the boxes behind you.
Easy Bus ride from town centre. I would have walked if it was dry as there is a nice path alongside the canal which starts at Wigan Pier.
Plenty to do in the retail park if your early with lots of American style food outlets and a chippy. Plus Bingo and Cinema.
Plenty of room and excellent view some Club's charge a premium for sitting this close to the halfway line.
The DW Stadium looks empty when seen on TV yet unlike Huddersfield or Bolton the fans congregate higher up the stands meaning the camera doesn't see them.
Plenty in the Stadium a large well stocked Club shop. Only downside is I'd have liked to have bought a Warriors souvenir.
Good Northern brew a bit pricey though. Didn't try a pie as a Football ground one may have ruined my experience in the home of Pies.
Didn't notice any.
2.5 is far more than I thought I'd get at Wigan considering my experiences of their away crowds.
The early Charlton goal flattened it even more. But why do fan's leave so early on a Saturday? This is the worst I have ever seen it at 78-80 mins some of those even arrived late missing the first goal and crucially Wigan's equaliser and winner.
Luckily I was in a sparsely attended area as I'd have been peed off having to move so often so far away from full time.
Charlton tried but were too far for me to hear much.
