trebor has rated Deepdale 3.0 out of 5.
The stadiums is quite usual with interesting floodlights. and legend mosaics the only thing that makes it stand out.
Other than that I cannot think of anything to say.
From the Station use any bus heading to town they all stop at the Grim(listed) Bus Station.
Find the stand that has Deepdale listed on it and stop at the ground. Their is few staff around or any helpful drivers or maps.
Preston get small crowds considering it's history & size of the town, but practically everyone drives leading to a long journey back, but at least you will get a seat on the Bus. If the service in Preston is poor perhaps this is why the crowds are so poor. Most Clubs in the Championship organise their own direct Bus service to/from Train & Bus stations which takes traffic off the road, speeds up the Ground to Station journey & makes the game more attractive to attend.
Cant help the cold. There was plenty of room and steep stands that gave good views of the pitch. If it rains it looks like the first few rows get wet which is typical of new grounds where they forget to build roofs to cover them. You will have plenty of room in them as the locals give them a miss in the knowledge of the rain soaking them lower down.
Yes and they coped well on a cold day.
Outside vans were far cheaper than inside and served a reasonable burger. Inside the Tea was a proper Tetley's with Milk added and Tea Bag removed so none of the problems of searching for ''Tea making points''
Seemed friendly enough. No Police present which explains the poor traffic management around the ground.
Burton were to few in number to be heard, Preston songs were pretty dull & the Drummer wasn't that good or inspiring.
