"Near the Dee"

has rated Cae-y-Castell 3.5 out of 5.

trebor's review of Cae-y-Castell

A smart ground with one of the last natural turf surfaces left in the CP, which will be gone soon. Two pitch level seated stands on far side one raised stand with good views, two small stands in near corner one suitable for mobility scooters.

Location

Nice setting on Deeside Estuary and Flint Castle next door. Station is on main North Wales line and 300 meters walk on opposite side of town. Clubhouse with bar is only place this side of the tracks.

View

Main Stand looks to have a good view as its raised and seats look wider than the two farside stands. These are covered well but seats needed a clean it's low level means standing fans impede view.

Food & Drink

Plenty of rashers of quality Bacon in small roll, cooked to order so each customer needs to wait. Clubhouse and Burger Van 100 meters away at entrance.

Police & Stewards

Voluntary and you wouldn't have a game without one

Atmosphere

Small crowd for an important game, away fans numbered less than 10.
