trebor's review of Brisbane Road (Breyer Group Stadium)

Perhaps aided by the fantastic weather. I enjoyed this trip more than any so far out of League 2.
The game was of a good quality with a match up against 1st O's & 4th Wycombe.
I chatted with O's fans and Wycombe supporters were free to walk around the area.

Location

I arrived into Euston( If facing forward Look to your left about 5 mins before arriving and you will see Wembley). Head onto the concourse turn left and down the stairs. The Victoria line is there but is not well signposted until you get on to the Underground station.
Head for Victoria line(Blue) Southbound, 3 mins exit at Oxford Circus, then 25 mins on the Central(Red)Line. And alight at Leyton.
Walk from Station is 10 minutes along a street with plenty of takeaways of all kinds. I only spotted one Pub(Which doesn't look anything like a Pub).
When you see a Park on your left cross the road and walk through or if it's dry its a nice place to eat/drink. And a nice break from the busy streets.
If you have time take a look across the road outside the Tube Station it could be one of London's greatest views.

View

Nice steep stands, close to the pitch(could be an issue if you have problems with steps) plenty of legroom. But with the roof being so high and without windshields I'd gather that those in the lower seats may get wet.
The roof looks a poor design for a brand new stand but it was dry so I cannot prove if it is or not.

Facilities

A shambles of a concourse it's very dark, small and you cannot tell where the queues are among those watching the tellys the toilets are at the back end, through the crowd.
A very poor design for a new stand.
If you want real luxury buy a flat that offer balcony views of the pitch.

Food & Drink

Their wasn't a queue, yet you couldn't tell as everyone was stood around the TV's. The customer service was typical London, silence with grunts from the miserable staff.

Police & Stewards

They appeared to be not much older than School kids and pretty clueless. And those that were not were to overweight to catch the fat little kid that managed to run the length of the pitch before they noticed and caught up with him.
Even the ''Fireman'' looked as if he's borrowed a suit from his much bigger brother,

Atmosphere

Wycombe fans!! Why do you need to copy the generic crap heard from all London area clubs? If your going to sing, sing something original about Wycombe.
Orient piped up in the second half and could have drowned out Wycombe's crap songs if they had bothered prior to their goal.
