"Compact for a big stadium"

Anfield is iconic it has been late at redevelopment to match their rivals stadiums and earning revenue fit for a club of its size. The new main stand towers over and should be joined by the rest in time.

Location

Historical location in Anfield area a fair walk from Lime Street.
Merseyrail has a stop at Sandhills that's got a Soccerbus ferrying you to a stop about 400 meters up, the same is in place for Everton home games.

Tucked in the corner of the Anfield Road end wasn't to bad, considerate modernisation puts stewards below sight lines of the fans, legroom average there are restricted view areas. New Main stand didn't look as spacious as Arsenal or Spurs' new stadiums.

Facilities

Extremely cramped concourse, the new stand is on its way and cannot be soon enough.

Food & Drink

Everpool suggest they do both sides games an good outside caterer behind the away end are far cheaper and better quality, served at speed by experienced staff. EPL sides aren't renowned for decent catering so I avoid if possible. Loads of Cafes, takeaways Pubs around.

Police & Stewards

Firm and fair, Stewards don't mess around and are helpful Police are ready and advise idiots to stop being one first.

Atmosphere

YNWA is the best song going, the only club with an anthem before kick-off, after it's finished the stadium goes quiet with a burst of life now and again. Nice to have a club that sings its own songs that will be copied by lesser sides without the ingenuity to create it's own and isn't preoccupied with winding up the opposition.
