"Not a great away day experience"

has rated Ayresome Park 3.0 out of 5.

tommo1957's review of Ayresome Park

This was a decent old traditional ground, one considered good enough to host World Cup matches in 1966, but my overriding memory of the ground was the cramped conditions that you experienced as an away fan. Literally squeezed in like sardines.

Location

Was reasonably close to the railway station, but needed to dodge the locals waiting in back streets.

View

As said before, very uncomfortable.

Atmosphere

Decent atmosphere
