Not as modern as most grounds now but there's planning permission for improvements which look great on the website!!! Still one of the biggest grounds in England though and there's always a great atmosphere at the ground, even more so now the famous Kop band and England band is back!!!
It's easy, just get the train to Sheffield or Meadowhall and then jump on the tram, it goes right by the stadium. Plenty of parking around the ground as well.
Most areas are great for the view, with the exception of a couple of areas in the Kop and away stand because of the big pillars blocking part of the view if you're sat behind them BUT these are going to be taken out within the next couple of years. Leg room is quite good, a lot better then most stadiums but then again we're always stood up at away games. The boxes are supposed to be among the best few in the country!!!
Definitely good facilities in home sections of ground (not sure about away stand). I sit in North Stand and facilities are good, loads of TVs inside ground showing Sky Sports News, live football matches and the match that been played at Hillsborough.
Serve drinks in all areas of home stadium (again not sure about away stand) very quick service, lots of options for food - obviously lots of different pies, burgers, sausage rolls, chips, chocolate, crisps and some healthy options too! Only problem is the price but then again its the same in all grounds in England.
Very fair!
Most of the time there's a great atmosphere vocally especially now the famous Kop band and England band's back! Mainly friendly people who go to the game but there are quite a few fans who stand up in corner of North AStand, next to away fans.
