stunner2020 has rated Bramall Lane 4.0 out of 5.
It's an historic ground but has successfully managed to modernise without losing any of its charm. The stewards, fans, view, etc all perfect, the only let-down for me was the leg-room which was ridiculous. A great day, regardless.
Seemed to be fairly close to the train station so not at all bad, and we were dropped off directly outside the away end which was very handy. One negative was that it took ages to get moving after the game because we had to be picked up on a main road and understandably half of Sheffield were walking past at the time.
The view of the ground was perfectly fine, not a problem there at all, but leg-room in the away end was a major issue. Granted I'm 6'4" so I am well over average height but it was an immense struggle to fit my legs in, and when I did it was extremely uncomfortable. Thankfully the stewards were lenient enough to let us stand up for the entire game.
As football ground toilets go, the toilets were perfectly clean which made a pleasant change. Also the ease with which to get around was brilliant. I think it took all of about 90 seconds from leaving the coach to getting to my seat, which was great.
I didn't buy any food but it looked nice enough. I had a coffee though, which was perfectly fine to taste and not too pricey either in comparison to other places.
No complaints here at all, did their job without being arsey. Let us sit wherever we wanted and allowed us to stand up to, so very happy.
Great fans, very loud and passionate. Although obviously disappointing to see my side concede, the roar that followed their goals was the sort to give you goosebumps.
