stuff10 has rated Gresty Road (The Alexandra Stadium) 4.5 out of 5.
I love going to Gresty Road - I don't know what it is... it could be the decent pubs and chip shops near the ground, it could be the character that the place has got, or it could just be that we always seem to win there!
Gresty Road is a good old-fashioned proper football ground, with 3 small stands and one pretty large one that dwarfs all the others. Away fans are housed in an all-seater stand that stretches the length of the pitch - if you're likely to take a big following you'll also be given seats behind one of the goals as well.
I've never seen a hint of trouble at Crewe, it's surely one of the safest family-friendly places to visit in the country.
Right in the middle of Crewe and right next to the train station. If you go by car, you'll also find plenty of side streets to park on for free.
The stands are quite small and not very deep so you're always near the pitch.
It is an older ground, so they could be better.
I don't think there was a bar in the away end... I'm not 100% certain though!
Not a problem at all.
The home fans to the right of the away supporters can be pretty vocal.
