The Britannia Stadium is by far my least favourite ground. It's soulless, faceless, miles from anywhere and always freezing cold!
Another new stadium that's identical most of the other new grounds that have been built in the last 10 years! This one is built on the top of a hill meaning that even on a nice day the wind that blows around the sides of the away stand is very cold.
The ground is located far away from the city centre, leaving only one pub nearby - it may be best to drink in the ground.
Right next to the A50, but parking isn't particularly easy. Miles away from the city centre or anywhere resembling civilisation.
No pillars or anything to get in the way.
As you'd expect with a new ground, they are very good.
Beer was being served, which makes it okay by me!
I've been to the Britannia 3 or 4 times now and have seen trouble on more than one occasion. The worst of which was when we scored a last-minute equaliser and the Stoke fans to our right tried to invade the away end. Police locked us in the car park for about an hour after the game to give them time to disperse the Stoke fans. The police actually escorted the United coaches all the way back to Sheffield that way - a sort of rolling road block all the way up the M1!
We've also seen buses turn up at the ground with their windows put through.
The Stoke fans may not be the friendliest bunch (see above) but it does make for a good atmosphere!
