stevehermon's review of Garden Walk Stadium

I visited the Garden Walk Stadium to watch Withymoor Colts Ladies vs Wolves Women in a County Cup. I went because my sister plays for Wolves, but also to add another ground to my list!

I have to say I was impressed with the standard of the ground, considering that they're only in the West Midlands Premier.

The pitch looks a bit bobbly, which wouldn't help a passing style of football, but the ground was good. Very spacious round three sides, with the main area having a raised terrace behind the dug outs, as well as a couple dozen seats.

Just a mention for the bar as well! Very good, with a good selection of drinks and snacks available! Just a shame we didn't win on the quiz machine at half-time!

Location

It's interesting as it's just in the middle of a residential area in Lower Gornal and kind of tucked away down a side street, but it's pretty big once you get to it.

It also has a decent sized car park, but there's also plenty of street parking nearby if needs be!

View

Very spacious round three sides, with the main area having a raised terrace behind the dug outs, as well as a couple dozen seats. Very comfortable and a great view as the crowd wasn't massive!

Food & Drink

I only had some pork scratching and a pint of bitter, but it was very nice!

Atmosphere

Friendly atmosphere, but obviously not many people there.
