This was a ground I'd been looking forward to visiting as I'd heard many supporters say it was a brilliant ground. It didn't disappoint.
There was a brilliant atmosphere throughtout the match, food was good, everything was great. My only real complaint would be a steward telling the away fans to sit down, yet all the Southampton supporters in the other half of that stand were standing. Other than that a superb ground, well worth a visit.
The ground is basically in the middle of the city. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Southampton central train station, and is signposted around the city so easy to find.
We were sat right at the top and the view was magnificent, a clear view of the pitch and one of the television screens behind the goal at the opposite end of the ground. The leg room could be better however but other than that it was comfortable
I wasn't too pleased with the stewards although I might be being picky. The home supporters in the other half of the stand were all standing throughout the match. Most of our fans were sitting but a few of us were standing. At the start of the 2nd half a steward came and told me to sit down but they left all the home fans to stand as they pleased.
The atmosphere was brilliant most of the time. The home supporters certainly made a lot of noise and our away support that day was very vocal, so yeah the atmosphere is fantastic
