With time running out to visit White Hart Lane I decided to take advantage of Tottenham's cheaper tickets for the FA Cup 4th round match against Wycombe Wanderers. I was seated in the upper East stand where being in the second row I had a great view of the playing action. As for the match it was one of the best games i've seen for some time, Tottenham won 4-3 with a winning goal scored in the sixth minute of injury time after coming back from 2-0 down at half time.
The ground is less then ten minutes walk from White Hart Lane train station which I arrived at from London Liverpool Street. It took me longer to get from Victoria to Liverpool Street on the tube then it did to get to White Hart Lane. It's fair to say Tottenham is not the most vibrant of area's in London but I found the area ok.
As already mentioned the view from my seat was fine and the leg room acceptable.
I found there was plenty of toilets near to were I was sat.
I did'nt buy anything inside the ground but did visit a couple of pubs in Liverpool Street, The Railway Tavern which was showing the Liverpool v Wolves match and was very busy and the the Hamilton Hall which is a Wetherspoons bar situated on Liverpool Street Station itself which was full of Wycombe fans and due to it being a match day was charging £1.00 extra on drinks. I got talking to a Spurs fan who advised me that all the pubs by the ground are for home supporters only and would be extremely busy.
I did find the stewards to be quite unfriendly and not that helpful.
With 4500 visiting Wycombe fans in the ground the atmosphere was brilliant and that includes the Tottenham fans who continued to make a noise even when they went 2-0 down.
