"Havant & Waterlooville v Chelmsford City"

I only live half hours train journey from Havant and despite having lived down on the South Coast now for over five years I was yet to visit, so on the first Saturday after the second lockdown I purchased a ticket and travelled to the match on a freezing cold and wet day.

Location

If you dont know the Havant area the ground is'nt the easiest to find, about a twenty minute or so walk from Havant station in the opposite direction to the town centre. I went into The Parchment Makers in town for a couple of drinks and some food it's a JDWetherspoons pub just two minutes walk from the bus station where I caught the Stagecoach 20 bus straight to the ground, about a 10 minute journey and was able to catch the same bus back after the match.

Not the best of grounds just one small stand for seating which I was told I could'nt go in even though it was'nt full. The other three stands are all narrow terraced stands, at least they all had some covering to protect fans from the ran, I stood to side of the pitch so got a good view of the action.

Facilities

There is what appears to be a large bar outside the main entrance The Westleigh which I did'nt have time to go in, but it looked ok, other then that I did'nt use the facilities only the toilets which were unisex.

Police & Stewards

Stewards were ok.

Atmosphere

Being the first game fans were allowed back after lockdown there was a good crowd for the match, there support is very passionate made up of alot of Pompey fans who I have plenty of time for. No away fans allowed to attend the match due to government rules.
