southerntraveller has rated The Simplyhealth City Ground 1.0 out of 5.
The ground is about a 20 minute walk from Winchester Train station in a rather nice area of the city, reached walking along a leafy footpath alongside a small river. Found a nice enough if not a bit pricey pub called The King Alfred close by to have a pre match drink before making my way to the ground, unfortunetley on my visit you could'nt get into any of the pubs in the city centre due to the Covid19 restrictions so it meant I left Winchester after the match for home. The match saw Evesham win 1-0
and to be fair they were the better team and could have won by more if it were'nt for the home team goalkeeper pulling of a few really good saves.
An easy 20 minute walk from the train station.
Except for a covered stand at the centre of one side of the pitch which I sat in the rest of the ground is just open with a small fence surrounding it, lost count of how many balls they lost.
Not really any kind of atmosphere the only noise came from the handful of Evesham supporters that had travelled down.
