Enjoyed my visit to the Ray Mac Stadium, having travelled to Salisbury from West Sussex by train. Always enjoy a visit to Salisbury with it's many pubs and after the match I did visit a few fo them before getting the train home. Also enjoyed the match being a neutral, twice Salisbury tokk the lead but Hendon twice came back to earn a point.
The ground is very much out of town and you do need to get a bus, I caught the Salisbury Red PR11 from Castle Street which I believe is an hourly service, it drops you off about a 5 minute walk away from the ground but the return takes you all around some housing estate.
There are some seats below the Main stand where the bar is situated, While there's a good size covered terrace behind the one goal, with open terracing each side of a small covered stand to the side of the pitch and a small open terrace behind the other goal.
I did go into the bar at half time for a drink and found it ok did'nt have to que for long and reasonably priced, even though the one way system in place was abit confusing.
While I chose to watch the match from behind the goal on the covered terrace alot fo the home supporters chose to watch the match on the side terrace but as it was such a nice day that was understandable, I imagine when it's wet they stand under the covered terrace.
