I've visited Craven Cottage a few times now always to see my own club Birmingham City play there.
We always take a big support to Fulham and that's always good for the atmosphere, and most the pubs in the area are taken over by Blues fans, how'ever now that I live on the South Coast I always arrive at Putney High Street so always go in Wetherspoons opposite the station where there is a good mix of home and away supporters. The ground is about a 20 minute walk away up Putney High street, over Putney Bridge and through the park. A trip to see your team away at Fulham is one of the best away days in the Championship.
Good location on the banks of the River Thames near to Putney High Street on the South bank or Fulham Broadway if travelling by tube to Putney Bridge. Plenty of decent pubs in all vacinities of the area.
It's an old ground and not designed for comfort but as most visiting supporters prefer to stand it's not really an issue.
Toilets ok.
Fulham fans are some of the most friendliest supporters in the country and on any of my visits to Craven Cottage I've never seen any trouble.
If you take a large following the atmosphere can be great but I imagine it can be quite flat if there's not alot of away supporters at a game.
