"BRIGHTON v BIRMINGHAM CITY"

has rated Amex Stadium 4.0 out of 5.

southerntraveller's review of Amex Stadium

Despite the foul November weather overall I enjoyed my visit to The Amex Stadium mainly because I'd recently moved from the West Midlands to the South Coast and Brighton would be my closest league club from where I live, and have also got to know a few Brighton supporters. I like the fact that the club includes free local public transport with your matchday ticket.

Location

Despite free bus and train travel from the Brighton area to the ground it's still alot of hassle getting to the Amex Stadium. At Brighton train station they operate a queing system while the bus which I used to get to the ground takes a good half hour. How'ever it was after the game where I found most problems having to wait to get on to a train in the pouring rain, I managed to get on one of the first few trains back to Brighton but back in the pub Brighton fans were coming upto a hour after I 'd already got back, soaking wet. Lovely stadium but to far out of town with no ammenities near bye.

View

Seats are very comfortable and there is plenty of leg room and you get a good view.

Facilities

As you'd expect from a new stadium facilites in the stadium are very good but they need to be because there's nothing outside the ground.

Food & Drink

I did'nt buy anything to eat or drink as I chose like most visiting fans to have a few drinks in Bighton, no shortage of very good pubs close to the station.

Police & Stewards

Stewards did'nt really have much idea where you catch a bus after the match back to Brighton not very helpful.

Atmosphere

A good atmosphere inside the ground from both set of supporters. Had a few drinks after the match with a couple of Brighton fans in the Evening Star pub by Brighton station which is one of several pubs used by Brighton fans at home games, found them very friendly, also no trouble while waiting in the queues at Falmer station after the game.
