smithybridge-blue has rated Westfalenstadion (Signal Iduna Park) 4.5 out of 5.
Four huge stands. Attended a Champions League match of around 62,000 - so what's it like with 80,000 in a Bundesliga match? Fans were friendly, interesting and talkative.
Only a 10 Euro taxi ride from the centre of Dortmund and easily accessable on the U-Bahn which stops a short walk from the ground.
Big expansive stands with clear views of the playing area. Near the back the players all look a bit small.
Plenty of toilets available in the ground and not too crowded.
Loads of food and drink caravans, tents and kiosks sited around the outside of the ground. Didn't need the facilities in the ground as there was so much available on the outside.
Very helpful stewards. Plenty of police presence around the ground but they don't seem to do much apart from sit on horses and look hard.
65,000 at the game so obviously vociferous.
