smithybridge-blue has rated The Racecourse Ground 4.0 out of 5.
Easy to find, the Racecourse ground, in general, has seen better days as the stands, with the exception of the Mold Road Stand, are getting rather old and looking and feeling a bit tired. This ground is a pleasant place to visit for the regular summer football of the Champions League and/or The Europa League qualifiers of the smaller League of Wales clubs in July. There is a pub directly behind the Mold Road Stand which does not get too packed before these types of games, although I would imagine would be somewhat different should Wrexham be playing at home.
Easy to find by car, well signposted off the motorway. Reasonable walking distance from the town centre. Wrexham General Railway Station is located next door to the stadium. Due to the amount of streets with double yellow lines around the area, street parking can be difficult to find.
As all the stands are quite big the view is generally of a good standard.
With the exception of the Mold Road Stand, most of the ground is getting rather old and tired and the facilities reflect this (ie. the dim lighting in the rather small toilets).
Stewards very friendly and accomodating. Girl patrolling the main entrance extremely helpful, providing teamsheets for those who required them. She even took a copy of a book into the club for one of the managers to sign! Top service!
As this was an early season Europa League qualifyer with only 1451 in attendance, the atmosphere was very low key and was lost as there was only the Yale Stand open on the night.
