smithybridge-blue has rated Stadion Galgenwaard 3.5 out of 5.
A well planned ground but found it a little "uniform" and bland. Doesn't really look much like a football stadium from the outside, as the front of it is a big glass facade situated off a major dual carriageway whilst the other three stands are tucked away round the sides and back.
A 10-15 minute bus ride from the centre of Utrecht and its Railway and Bus Station.
High banked seating giving excellent and uninterupted views all round.
Free programmes available on entry or from outlets outside the stadium. Toilets clean and presentable. Plenty of space to move around on the concourse behind the seating.
Food and drink available. Can be purchaesed using "munton" (tokens). These can be purchased from machines on the concourse.
Office staff and stewards very helpful and knowledgeable. Police not prominent as I attended a Friday evening game where there were only a handful of away fans.
Atmosphere a little disappointing as Utrecht are one of the better supported teams in Holland. Could have been due to a lack of away support and a cold miserable Friday night.
