Easy to find and easy to park the car. This old style ground has maintained its character over the years and appears to have been kept in good order. Strangely, I was allowed to walk along the concourse underneath the main stand seats into the away stand and then allowed to go back again without being approached or questioned where I was going, which I found unusual. Overall, having remembered what grounds were like 30 years ago, I found this a very nostalgic and pleasant visit.
Easy to get to as you pass Ayr Racecourse on the A719, turn right into a small housing estate and the ground is hidden at the back of all the housing. Easy to find street parking in this area.
View from the main stand seats is good as the height of the stand is reasonably good. Plastic tip-up seats with plenty of room.
Food and drink outlets sited within the main stand along the long but narrow concourse underneath the seating. Toilets in the away section very basic - like they used to be in the 70/80's. No alcohol available in the ground as it is banned in all Scottish grounds.
Did not sample the cuisine but seemed to be reasonably priced for the usual fayre.
Did not notice a big police presence, they just seemed to be grouped in couples, there to do a job. Stewards were pleasant and helpful with directions. Friendly little club shop.
Atmosphere was "alright" as this was a bigger Third Tier game against Dunfermline Athletic, who have a good away following for this level of the game.
