smithybridge-blue has rated Carrow Road 4.0 out of 5.
Great location and clean and tidy stadium gives this ground a top rating as a great place to go for a football match. Plenty to do before the game as the City Centre is only a short walk away. Norwich is easy to get in and out of by car and the Railway Station is close by. The fans as individuals are very friendly and interesting, although the singing section in the Barclay are rather unimaginative in their chants and can get annoyingly tiresome in their unoriginal "sense of humour".
After Newcastle this is one of the best located grounds in the Premier League. Norwich is easy to get into on the A47 then onto the A146. Car Parking can be found on the large County Hall Car Park up the A147 Carrow Road, or on one of the Industrial Units on Europa Way. These places are a 10 minute walk down to the stadium. The Railway Station is 5 minutes away from the Stadium behind the Barclay Stand. The City Centre is a 10 minute walk behind the City Stand.
It is unusual for the Visitors section not to be behind the goals as at Norwich it is situated to the right hand side of the main Jarrold Stand. Good view of the playing area.
The usual crowded concouse underneath the seats before the game and at half-time. The customary queue for the toilets.
Standard beers and lagers at general Premier League prices. Did not sample the food.
Low key policing. Stewards too over efficious inside the ground, and totally unknowledgeable outside the ground. We asked them a couple of simple questions and they were clueless.
A good atmosphere as the game ended up a seven goal thriller. Away fans were in good voice as their team went 2-0 up in the first five minutes. To their credit , the home supporters rallied behind their team throughout the game as they continued to claw their way back into the game.
