scotty007 has rated Vicente Calderon 4.0 out of 5.
A good old fashoned stadium. Typically Spanish with only 1 main/covered stand.
Easy to get to from the city centre by metro or even walkable! Lots of bars on match days around the ground!
In a working class distrcit near a river and motorway. Not far from city centre - walkable but quicker and easier by metro, just follow the crowds!
Good view and value - remember only one covered side and it can rain a lot on Madrid!
Average!
Okay, not really a big thing in Spain!
Never saw a steward! Police are relaxed but can be heavy handed when they need or want to be... they will simply wade in with night sticks!
Even when half full the atmosphere is far better than Real Madrid's. Atletico are the city's working class team... and it seems the ultras have now shaken off their right wing tag!
