Whoever decided to move the city's football stadium from an old fashioned inner city ground to this souless bowl with a running track needs shooting!
The stadium is big and comfortable and would not be out of place in the top flight... However the running track and gradient seating make any attempts to create an atmosphere impossible!
Near the ground is a huge shopping centre 7 Palmas and luckily a few bars!
Out of the city, easily accessible by car and by bus if you know Las Palmas. If you are an outisder and do not speak Spanish... good luck!
Okay so you can see... and the stadum is modern but you are so far from the action! Aside from the main stand you are out in the open - so its either too hot in the sun, too windy and at times raining!
Plenty of toilets and a modern shop.
Overpriced food outlets, only non alcoholic beer and salted pippas! Best to bring a tortilla sarnie from outside!
Stewards are rarely seen and dont care. Police only seem to patrol around the running tracks and outside the ground...
Inside .. the only ground I have been to where you cant buy beer but where the home supporters openly smoke dope!
Try as the might... and they do try but the 2 ultra groups behind each goal struggle to creat any real noise in such a stadium. Shame!
