"Fairly good"

samwaters' review of The Shay

The Shay is a fairly nice ground, it has good character and has some good facilities. Parking was easy and the stewards were helpful.

There was a couple of negative things to note about my visit. Firstly, there was not enough people working behind the bar, and the long queue resulted in me missing some of the 2nd half. On top of this, there were rugby lines on the pitch, which I found very tinpot.

On a more positive note, the green team were on hand and happy to help, and also after the game fans were very keen to tell us who Jamie Vardy is.

There was segregation between the away and home fans which I felt was unnecessary. I thought that the segregation actually made the place more hostile.

Tap water was easily available with no issues.
