"Modern, but slightly unique."

samwaters' review of Cardiff City Stadium

Before the match, we visited Gol. They charged £5 for parking but this also allowed us use of the facilities, including the bar. They sold pre-made hot dogs similar to rollover (but not as bad), I would personally not eat here as later toward the ground there is a van outside the away entrance. This was expensive but it did sell cheesy chips.

The ground itself is modern and due to that, it lacks history and atmosphere. Despite this the ground is a little unique, the stadium is full of blue seats, other than the new upper tier, which is red. This serves as a constant reminder of the somewhat awkward relationship the fans have with their owner, Vincent Tan.

The stewards were friendly and I did not see any trouble from the Cardiff fans. Villa lost 3-0, but I still enjoyed my visit to the Cardiff City stadium. I would happily visit again.
