"Nice mix of old and new."

As a Saintee, I'm supposed to hate Dens Park but actually really like it. Been there countless times both pre and post refurbishment and have watched from every stand except the Bobby Cox and have rarely had a bad experience. Still looks like a proper football ground with it's own idiosyncracies, despite the legoland style stands behind each goal.

Location

I lived in Dundee for a decade, used to love the walk up to Dens (and Tannadice) on match days. Some decent pubs nearby.

Great from most angles but the mainstand leaves a lot to be desired. It's an absolute beauty aesthetically but the low hanging roof, multiple pillars and ludicrous lack of legroom don't make for the best of match viewing experiences.

Atmosphere

I've mostly been for Dundee - Saints games so the atmosphere is always great but the couple of times I've gone to see Dundee play other teams it's been good too. The Derry in particular is incredible. What it lacks in plumbing and comfort it more than makes up for in atmosphere. Not nearly enough stands like it left in Scotland.
