To sum up I'd recommend going if you're thinking about it, it's a great day out no matter what the score is and there's that feeling you get when you see the ground for the first time it's electric and great.
The ground for me is always easy enough to find because I've been there so many times now. However if you're not sure on how to find the place then my advice is try and find out as much as you can about the ground directions, buses trains and so on their website. The nearest train station is Kirkdale which is about a mile from the ground but there are other stations along that route that if you stop off at them have buses that go to and from the ground before and after the game.
The view that I have had at the games that I've been to have been very good and have been comfortable but could have done with a bit more leg room. But I could see the whole pitch from where I was sat.
There's only one set of toilets in the ground one for male one for female which weren't at all bad, they smelt a bit though.
There's just one kiosk to get your food and drink from and there's always big queues for the counter so make sure you get there in time if you're after something to eat before the match or at half time, otherwise your jammed right in like sheep.
The police and stewards were good, they check you over before you enter the ground so make sure you aren't carrying anything that might not get you into the ground like beer bottles. There are lots of stewards around the away end to make sure that none of the away fans cause trouble which they let the Liverpool fans get away with most of the time. I had an incident when I went were the bloke in front of me was shouting homophobic chants at the Liverpool manager but he was dealt with quickly for that so be warned not to say anything wrong or upsetting. I myslef got told off once for swearing at Gerrard few seasons ago.
This can be a hit or a miss when you're there. Yes Liverpool fans do have a great atmosphere on Champions League nights but don't expect the same at your game because most times it can be quiet. I've been there before they've been 3-1 up and not got singing but last weekend they didn't do bad when they went 4-0 up.
