ronaldinhollew's review of Leckwith Stadium

It's an athletics stadium with a football pitch, rather than a proper football stadium. It doesn't even have turnstiles and I'd imagine segregation would be tough. When it's a full house the atmosphere's reasonable, seats are comfortable in the one and only stand, which runs along the length of the pitch. The views are pretty good considering the running track. The stand is very modern and on the inside it's seriously nice. There's a burger van serving refreshments. Location is relatively easy to get to and there's a pub across the road serving food as well as several shops and places to get a bite to eat.

Location

Easy to get to, just off the link road and has a pub and a few places to eat as well as a shop or two nearby.

View

Considering it has a running track the view's not bad and seats are comfortable.

Facilities

Enough toilets in this very modern stand, which was actually heated.

Police & Stewards

It was a women's international friendly, we were in the very back row and yet stewards still got bothered about the fact we were standing, and made a big song and dance of the issue which I thought was daft.

Atmosphere

I was there for a Wales women's international and despite it being a friendly the 2,000 strong crowd made an impressive amount of noise.
