"A proper historic football ground , not mechano and plastic like"

purdy1985's review of Ibrox

The Magnificent Bill Struth main stand is as iconic as stands get , Its up there with the twin towers at old Wembley and the best compliment I can give it is that it is actual architecture , go see it, do the tour and take in a game if you are a real football fan you wont be disapointed

The other 3 stands are somewhat functional but give a slight nod to the splendor of the main stand in keeping the red brick look and style

An Uefa elite Stadium , Ibrox is Scotlands premier football stadium , Hampden was a rushed and botched conversion of an old terraced ground , Parkhead boasts a larger capacity but has the aesthetics of something build from 3 old and incomplete boxes of mechano bought at a car boot sale , it is on a grand scale but is harsh on the eyes

Location

Easy to find with its own subway stop

View

Like many modern grounds some seats are better than others , The Govan rear stand offers a fantastic view of the pitch and opposing main stand

Facilities

Public toilets within a football ground are never a place you want to spend much time

Food & Drink

Standard fare for a big ground ,pies and bovril
