I watched Portland United V Hammers in August 2016. The club had just completed a change from Grass to a 3G Pitch which looks superb. A friendly welcome and great facilities. A nice Bar with a small grassed area with bench seating allows you to watch the match from a short distance whilst drinking a pint or two.
I was surprised just how good this step 9 club is.
Easy Ground to get to. Parking can be limited.
All round View of the pitch, but only the top part of the stands will afford a Higher View. Seating in the stands is made of Wooden planking with painted marks. Advisable to bring a piece of Sponge or a cushion if you are going to sit during the match. This is not a downfall of the club. Many grounds at this level have similar seating and is perfectly acceptable.
A good Bar. 2 Stands, Easy access to Toilets, and Wheelchair Friendly with various ramps.
Hot and cold snacks available. Alcoholic and Non alcoholic drinks served at the bar.
As the Home attendance was relatively small, Atmosphere was a little low, but I would imagine during a home cup match, it would be better.
