portlandblue's review of Camp and Satherley Stadium

New Grove Corner is sighted a few hundred yards from the original ground which the club had to vacate in the 1990's due to mineral extraction.

A great clubhouse and bar sighted right on the grounds edge. You can watch the game from the Bar or sit in the two stands, or indeed stand around the edge of the pitch or high above on the north bank with a great view of the pitch (See Photo)

Location

Head towards the village of Easton, and just before you get to the village, take a left into Grove road toward the Young Offenders Institution and hang a Left into the ground.

View

Sit in comfort on Plastic seats in the Butch Nash Stand. Sit on the wooden Benches in the Codfathers Stand. Or Sit on the North Bank using the 3 Park Benches positioned there. (Normally Used by elderly home supporters, but would welcome you to sit with them during the game for a good natter!

Facilities

A superb Club House just a few metres from the pitch. Hospitality room, Toilets and the teams Changing rooms on the lower floor.

Upstairs, the club Bar is large and roomy with a good selection of Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic drinks. You can watch the game from the windows of the bar, and in the summer, you can watch from the outside balcony above the garage. Bar always open on Match Days

Food & Drink

Drinks available in the bar, Hot drinks available from the Tea Hut (Gate entry point) Serving Tea, Coffee, Chocolate, Boverill and so-on.

Chocolate bars are also on sale.

No Hot food available unless there is a charity match day where the club provides a great BBQ

Police & Stewards

Club stewards consist of Committee members and can be recognised by their Club Polo Shirts or their Hi-Viz vests

Atmosphere

Always a great atmosphere at Grove corner, largely to do with their Friendliness and the fact that they average around 143 Supporters per game. Highest Attendance at the end of the 2015/16 season where the Blues won the Wessex League Div 1 was 214.

Their new Season in the Wessex Premier 2016/17 so far has seen an increase in numbers.
