pletch99 has rated Sparkman High School 3.0 out of 5.
Sparkman High School stadium is build for the schools American Football team and is the temporary home of USL2 North Alabama Soccer Club. The pitch is artificial and surrounded by an athletic tracks. Down either side of the pitch are stands consisting of bleachers. It is quite basic, yet provides an arena that can currently seat 3,000 and the school is trying to fund an expansion to 7,000.
At one end of the ground is a sports building containing the changing rooms and a significant tuck shop serving a wide range of food and drinks, but as a school no alcohol is sold.
On the occasion of my visit, the crowd for the USL game was about 100, mostly family and friends of the players. The staff of North Alabama SC were very friendly and once word got out that there was an Englishman in the crowd a number of people came by to say hello.
Sparkman High School is located in the suburbs of Huntsville, Alabama about 25 minutes drive from the downtown. There is no public transport, but there is plenty of parking on site just outside the stadium area.
